Through this Corrections Policy, Timesbull (as refer sharkbharat.com) (hereinafter referred to as “Timesbull” / “We” / “Us” / “Our”) aims to inform you about the corrective measures we implement when we discover incorrect information on our website. We recognize our responsibility to our readers and understand that it is our duty to rectify any incorrect information and promptly inform you about it.
Premise
Timesbull strives to present its audience with accurate and complete news reports based on all the available information at the time we are reporting the news. We strive to be prompt in correcting errors in the material published on our website as soon as they occur. As a digital platform, we promptly publish corrections and clarifications on our social media handles, or share an editor’s note that details the corrections made and the specific error, in addition to updating our content. In the event of a major mistake that can result in spreading misinformation, we apologize to our readers in a timely and proper manner.
Update a Report
We routinely include notes on updated stories. It is important for us to use a correction, clarification, or editor’s note to inform readers whenever we correct a significant mistake or edit a story to include comments and updates from a stakeholder. When we discover an error in Our Fact-Check (as per Our Fact-Check Policy, accessible at [“Fact-Check Policy”]), we promptly update the article, bolding “[Correction: updated Info]” at the top and providing an explanation of the correction. We also request that our community members send the correction to editor timesbull@gmail.com, and at the bottom of every article, we provide readers with an option to suggest corrections if any.
Corrections
If we are substantively correcting an article, photo caption, headline, graphic, video, or other material, we promptly publish a correction explaining the need for the said change.
Clarification
We rewrite the language and add clarification to the story when our journalism is factually correct, but the language we use to explain those facts is not as clear or detailed as it should be. A clarification is also used to indicate whether we initially failed to seek a comment or response that has since been added to the story or if new reporting has shifted our account of an event.
Editor’s Notes
An editor’s note may be required for a correction that calls into question the entire substance of an article or raises a significant ethical predicament, along with an explanation of the issue at hand. A senior editor approves adding an editor’s note to a story.
Other Corrections Policies
When a reader discovers an error and posts it to the comment stream, our community engagement team can mark it as corrected in the comments.
When we publish incorrect information on social networks, we correct it on that platform. If we are unable to change the incorrect information, we retract it.
We do not attribute blame to individual reporters or editors (e.g., “because of a reporting error” or “because of an editing error”).
Reporting inaccuracies
Please contact the editorial team via the ‘Suggest a Correction’ section, which appears at the end of every published web story, if you believe a story we have published is inaccurate. You can also email timesbull@gmail.com.
Take-down Requests
We do not entertain take-down requests because of editorial policy. If the subject claims that the story was inaccurate, we are prepared to investigate and, if necessary, publish a correction.
In situations where fairness demands an update or follow-up on our previous coverage, we oblige, considering whether further editorial action is warranted, but not to remove the article as though it had never been published.
When we publish publicly available personal data, we only review takedown requests if the person involved is under threat of physical harm because of the existence of such material.
